Staff accommodations of exceptional quality
Even though Gl. Skagen is, for many, synonymous with vacation and relaxation, it takes a dedicated year-round effort to ensure that Ruths Hotel always meets guests' expectations. This requires, first and foremost, a skilled and engaged team – and, just as importantly, the right conditions for employees to thrive. That’s why we have established Ruths Community, where new staff accommodations on Doggerbanke create the optimal living environment for our employees.
In 2022, we acquired the property with the vision of building 40 apartments and rooms, providing housing for up to 60 employees. The construction is carried out with great consideration for both the environment and the well-being of residents, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. Materials are chosen with respect for nature and a focus on a green footprint, while shared spaces, laundry facilities, parking, and administrative areas ensure the best possible conditions for a well-functioning everyday life.
With these staff accommodations, we ensure that Ruths Hotel can continue to attract qualified professionals who share our passion for service, quality, and the unique atmosphere that defines the hotel.

Timeline
2022
The lack of good staff accommodations in Skagen has long been a challenge, and many solutions were considered. After a thorough process, the decision was made to purchase the property at Doggerbanke 3 – a strategic move that ensures Ruths Hotel access to qualified staff year-round.
In a completely unique and unprecedented initiative in Denmark, we are building 40 brand-new apartments with space for up to 60 employees.
